Terms of service
forma-dsl is free software under the MIT licence. These terms cover the website; the licence in the repository covers the code, and where the two ever disagree about the software, the licence wins.
§ 01The software
The forma-dsl library, the editor and the reference manual are published under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and redistribute them on its terms, including commercially, provided the copyright notice and the licence text travel with the copies.
§ 02Using this site
The site is offered as it is, for anyone to use. Please do not attempt to disrupt it or the infrastructure it runs on, and do not present a copy of it as though it were the original project. Beyond that there is nothing to agree to: there is no account, no subscription and no charge.
§ 03What you make with it
Documents you write and models you generate are yours. Nothing in these terms claims any interest in them, and nothing you make is transmitted to us - the editor runs entirely in your browser.
§ 04No warranty
The software and the site are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This is the MIT licence's disclaimer, and it is meant literally.
Geometry is not a guarantee. A solid that solves cleanly here has not been checked for tolerance, fit, material behaviour, structural adequacy or safety. Verify any model before you machine, print, publish or rely on it - especially where a failure could injure someone or cost real money.
§ 05Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the authors and copyright holders are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability - whether in contract, tort or otherwise - arising from the software, the site, or their use. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions simply do not apply to you.
§ 06Availability
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and carries no uptime commitment. Pages, URLs and features may change or disappear; the published npm package and the repository are the durable artefacts.
§ 07Third-party components
The geometry kernel is Manifold, and the editor additionally uses CodeMirror and three.js. Each is under its own licence, shipped with the package or the site, and nothing here overrides any of them.
§ 08Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top of this page moves when they do, and every revision is visible in the repository's history. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
§ 09Contact
Anything unclear here is worth an issue.
