Privacy
The short version: this site has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no third-party requests. Nothing you write in the editor is sent anywhere, because there is nowhere for it to be sent.
§ 01What this covers
This policy covers the forma-dsl website - this page, the landing page, the reference
manual and the browser editor - served from
kalpak44.github.io/forma-dsl. It does not cover the forma-dsl npm package
itself, which is a library that runs on your own machine and makes no network requests
of any kind.
§ 02What we collect
Nothing. There is no server of ours between you and this site, no account to create, no form to fill in, no cookie set, no analytics or tag manager, no advertising, no fingerprinting and no error-reporting service. The pages load only files served from the same origin.
§ 03What stays in your browser
Two things are stored in your browser's localStorage, which is readable
only by this site and only on this device:
forma:theme- whether you chose the dark or the light theme.forma:source- the document currently open in the editor, so that reloading the page does not lose your work.
Neither is transmitted. Clearing your browser's site data for this origin removes both, and the site keeps working without them.
§ 04Your models never leave the page
Everything the editor does - parsing, evaluating, solving the geometry with the Manifold kernel compiled to WebAssembly, exporting STL - happens inside your browser tab. No document, parameter or mesh is uploaded, and an exported file is written by your browser directly to your downloads.
§ 05Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. To serve you a page at all, GitHub's servers necessarily receive your IP address, the URL requested and your browser's user agent, and may log them. That processing is GitHub's, under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. We have no access to those logs and receive nothing from them.
§ 06Links away from here
Links to GitHub, npm and other sites are ordinary links: nothing is prefetched or loaded from them while you are here, and following one puts you under that site's own policy.
§ 07Children
The site is not directed at children, and since it collects nothing, it collects nothing from them either.
§ 08Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the edit is visible in the repository's history like any other change to the site.
§ 09Contact
Questions about this policy belong in the project's issue tracker, where the answer is useful to everyone who has the same question.
Because the site stores nothing about you and processes nothing on a server, there is no account to access, correct or delete. The two local values in § 03 are yours to clear at any time, from your own browser.
